Stefna was founded on the 9th of September 2003 and is owned by its employees as well as Samvirkni. Today there are a total of ten employees. The company has been very successful with its CMS solution Moya, Matartorg and the web-survey program SPlist. From the beginning Stefna's main focus has been to provide its customers with comprehensive services in IT, commerce and software for web solutions. In addition Stefna also established a successful computing school. Today Stefna is focused exclusively on the design, development and sale of software.
Stefna's employees come from all around the computer industry and that fact has played a major role in the success of the development and sales of Moya. From the beginning Stefna has competed to earn the trust of its customers with reliability, good service and ingenuity in solving problems. Stefna has worked on many different solutions for businesses and organizations as well as giving advice on the management of information-based systems, participated in international projects but first and foremost Stefna is about personal and high quality service for all customers.

Stefna's headquarters are in Akureyri but the company is also based in Kópavogur.
